David Storey

I am a professor of philosophy at Boston College, where I teach courses in the history of philosophy, theology, climate change, and technology ethics. As a student of integral theory for two decades, my research has centered on how we can overcome the modern challenge of nihilism by developing a healthier understanding of and relationship with the natural world. More recently, I have published essays drawing on integral theory to improve climate change communication. Beyond my academic work, I have contributed essays as a Senior Fellow to the Institute for Cultural Evolution, whose aim is to use integral thinking to combat political polarization. I am currently training and seeking certification as an integral coach to expand my role as an educator beyond the academy, and help individuals and organizations evolve and thrive in our strange new world.
