The intersubjective field pre-dates us. Living systems have been entangled in reciprocal relationship for four billion years. What we call intersubjectivity is our late arrival into a field of evolutionary entanglement already operating across planetary scales. Our Modern perceptual adolescence mistakes this intelligence as naivety at our peril.

Earthling Theory proposes we carry millions of years of accumulated ecological intelligence – an evolutionary inheritance for consciousness-environment reciprocity accessible beneath modernity’s overlays. Niche construction, relational ontology, and fractal self-similarity ground Oika as an ecological field theory and basis for a new and universal indigeneity.

AI lacks these inherited capacities. It can mirror patterns but cannot access what our inherited ecological intelligence provides. As AI advances, recovering what we’ve forgotten becomes urgent – not optional. If we recover these capacities, the future is beautiful. if not, there isn’t one.
