My journey with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) began during the early days of the 2020 pandemic, when I was navigating the emotional intensity of parenting while supporting my children‘s at-home learning. Feeling overwhelmed and longing for a more compassionate way to relate, I came across Marshall Rosenberg’s work during a parenting class. That moment changed something inside me. What began as a search for parenting tools gradually became a life path rooted in empathy, authenticity, and deep human connection.

Over time, NVC became the foundation of my parenting, teaching, and inner growth. I shifted from control to connection in my relationship with my children; in addition, I began to meet my own inner voices with curiosity and compassion. Through consistent practice, I experienced how presence and empathy can soften even the most painful moments, both within myself and in my relationships.

As I deepened my integration of this work, I began sharing it with others by offering workshops, practice groups, and coaching sessions in both English and Chinese. With my bilingual and bicultural background, I found myself drawn to making NVC accessible and relevant to Chinese-speaking communities, especially in ways that honor both the essence of NVC and the cultural nuances that shape how we express emotions and relate.

My teaching focuses on parenting, education, inner healing, and conflict resolution. I especially love supporting parents who want to raise emotionally literate and intrinsically motivated children. Young people who can stay connected to their authentic power while caring for others.

As a longtime mindfulness and embodiment practitioner, I naturally bring presence-based practices into my facilitation. My workshops are often described as warm, grounded, and intuitive spaces where people feel safe to show up as they are, whether in silence, vulnerability, or resistance. I often weave in breath, stillness, storytelling, and reflection, inviting not just learning NVC, but living it.

What I most want people to know is that I don‘t teach from perfection. I teach from lived experience, my struggles, my growth edges, and my ongoing journey of returning to wholeness. My intention is not to offer answers, but to walk alongside others on the path of connection to self, to others, and to life.

If you long for deeper connection, more compassionate communication, or a new way to meet conflict with care, I warmly welcome you to explore this path with me.
