I’ve been a spiritual seeker since childhood. A spiritual thread has run through my life and led me to my current passion, which is to help people wake up to a life of greater abundance, freedom, and service in the world. Based in Minneapolis, I’ve had hundreds of clients as an Enneagram coach, pastoral counselor, spiritual director, and leadership/life coach through our Sojourners Institute.
I started teaching the Enneagram in 1996 to chaplain students after discovering what a huge difference it made in my life, work, and marriage. After a time, I started teaching it within my health care organizations and after 12 years had taught over 1,200 leaders. I’ve continued to teach the Enneagram in corporate, educational and church settings, along with integrating it into my spiritual direction and coaching practices. I am certified through the Full Circle Enneagram program in the Twin Cities.
My professional career began as a pastor in church and campus ministry settings. I graduated from Augustana College, in Rock Island, IL, with religion and psychology majors, and then attended graduate school at Yale Divinity School. There I not only got my Masters of Divinity Degree, but, best of all, met Melanie. We have a lovely adult daughter, Ana, and Fergus the Wonder Dog.
