Sally Prebble

I’m Sally Prebble, mother of three, child and adolescent communication educator, compassionate parenting coach, Certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and co-founder of Peace Talks NZ (cofounded with Jorinde Rapsey, also a certified NVC trainer).
For over a decade, I’ve supported overwhelmed parents and caregivers who are tired of yelling, guilt, and daily power struggles to create calmer homes and deeper, more loving connections with their children.
Prior to this, I spent my time learning, researching, and writing about child psychology, attachment, communication, and human relationships as a researcher and a policy analyst. I now integrate all of my learning and experience into supporting parents to be able to offer their children the love and connection they need to thrive.
I work with parents around the world, one-on-one (via Zoom) and through online courses and programmes. All of our services at Peace Talks are offered on a Gift Economy (pay what you are willing and able) basis. My approach is grounded in a deep appreciation and consciousness of NVC integrated with an understanding of psychology, neuroscience, a systemic perspective, warmth, humour and a lot of heart.
You are very welcome to contact me if you are interested in knowing more. Free Resources, Videos, Articles, and Writing; I share free resources on my YouTube channel (

Testimonials:
“Mind-blowing and heart-opening. Sally is supportive and skilled. Each session has been of amazing learning with her as my loving guide, I am seeing myself and those around with more empathy and openness.“ (Jay, Auckland)
“Sally has a non-judgmental, calm, kind and supportive approach. I have not felt this safe in a therapy setting before - I feel I can bring my ugliest and hardest thoughts to Sally and we unpack them together and they start to make sense.” (Claire, Auckland)
“Honestly, these fortnightly sessions have massively impacted my life. It‘s hard to express how much they have helped me and continue to do so. I feel a real sense of safety in knowing I have regular sessions.” (Geraldine, Invercargill)
