I’m Rico Bergemann, a Nonviolent Communication (NVC) trainer, coach, and mediator driven by a deep passion for helping people navigate conflict and build cooperative, connected, and nourishing relationships.
My journey began with feeling helpless in my romantic relationship whenever conflict arose. Instead of resolving things, we tried to move on without truly addressing what was happening—surprise, it didn’t end harmoniously.
After attending a workshop on restorative circles—an immersive experience that showed me how NVC can transform group and community dynamics—I felt hopeful for the first time that true cooperation is possible, even in our most challenging moments. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to learning and teaching NVC so that I can have a meaningful impact on how we relate and collaborate.
I love sharing NVC and coaching in a way that makes the process a lived, felt experience in the body—because for me, real change happens not just through understanding, but through embodied awareness and connection.
Recently, I’ve been working with couples, guiding them through conflicts with compassion and mediation. And as a new parent myself, I feel especially inspired to support other parents—helping them foster a cooperative, harmonious partnership that not only nourishes them but also creates a living example for their children.
My partner and I also started a permaculture project in Malta four years ago, with the intention of bringing people together and reconnecting with nature—exploring alternatives for greater vitality within our whole ecosystem.
My aspiration is simple: I dream of a world where every generation grows up knowing how to relate to themselves, each other, and the world in a way that is sustainable, joyful, peaceful, and meaningful—a way that works for all.
