My name is Lady-Ramy. I am a mixed-race woman from Martinique, where I was born and raised. I have roots from Gorée Island in Senegal and from France through my mother. I am the mother of three children, and it was thanks to them that I was first inspired to take an interest in Nonviolent Communication—with a deep desire to accompany them as thoughtfully and authentically as possible.
My initial training is as an early childhood educator, a profession I have practiced for over 20 years within small childcare centers for children aged 3 months to 3 or 4 years, which I co-founded with my husband. My role as a director and manager of educational teams also motivated me to continue exploring Nonviolent Communication, with the intention of fostering a professional collaboration that is harmonious, authentic, and joyful.
It is indeed within this professional context that I continue to grow today. We offer Nonviolent Communication not only to the children and families in our centers but also through parental support programs available to them.
My intention in sharing and teaching Nonviolent Communication is focused on two main areas:

Self-acceptance and healing of wounds related to mixed heritage and Afro-descendance
In this second area, I share Nonviolent Communication by drawing on our ancestral Martinican heritage (dance, drumming, language, etc.) and its anthropo-spiritual dimension.
Je m‘appelle Lady-Ramy, je suis une métisse de la Martinique, où je vis et j’ai grandi. J‘ai des origines de l’île de Gorée au Sénégal et de la France par ma mère. Je suis maman de 3 enfants, c‘est d’abord eux qui m‘ont donné l’élan de m‘intéresser à la Communication Non Violente. Dans une grande volonté de les accompagner le plus justement possible.
Ma formation première est éducatrice de jeunes enfants, métier que j’exerce depuis plus de 20 ans au sein de petites structures d‘accueil d’enfants âgés de 3 mois à 3⁄4 ans que j‘ai créé avec mon mari. Ma fonction de directrice et de manager d’équipes éducatives m‘a également motivé à poursuivre ce chemin avec la Communication Non Violente, dans l’intention de vivre une collaboration professionnelle harmonieuse, authentique et joyeuse.
C‘est effectivement dans ce cadre professionnel dans lequel j’évolue aujourd‘hui, que nous offrons aux enfants accueillis au sein de nos établissements et aux familles évidemment, également à travers l’accompagnement parental auquel ils ont accès. Mon intention dans ma transmission et mon partage de la Communication Non Violente est centrée sur 2 principaux axes :

Sur ce deuxième axe, je transmets la Communication Non Violente en m‘appuyant sur notre héritage ancestral martiniquais (danse, tambour, langue…) et son anthropo- spiritualité.
