Since childhood, I have been searching for a fairer world, where we live more equitably and where everyone can be heard. This is linked to my family history, but also to the intuition of a particular vocation to give to my life. As a specialist educator, I have supported people with mental and psychological disabilities as well as associated physical disorders. Their basic fragility, sometimes combined with an inability to express themselves and make themselves understood, naturally led me to explore communication, its obstacles and the means to overcome them from 1978, the beginning of a long path of personal development.

18 years of community life have made me aware of the collective in contempt of the individual. However, I have learned the joy and richness of the inner life. I have also learned the weight and price of silence, the unsaid, non-verbal communication that speaks louder than words, voluntary, moralizing speeches that separate the world in two, under the cover of spirituality. I know that in my heart is the range of feelings that a human being carries within him and that I am neither better nor worse than anyone else. It is first in me that the seeds of violence are found and it is first from me that they must be eradicated and on me that I must work.

NVC was put on my path when I was looking for a way to say things other than imploding into illness, breaking the law or exploding to tell the other what was wrong with her/him. I understood that I had found in NVC a boat to take me to the other shore and I took it. My training in sociocracy (governance of self, teams and institutions), also called “governance by consent”, and my experience in various institutions and networks have allowed me to explore relationships between colleagues and with the hierarchy, seeking how to combine efficiency and respect for people; how to promote exchanges, clarity in information and shared power that allow everyone‘s strengths to be put to the service of the company as well as personal development in the workplace.

It is a particular pleasure for me to meet people who work in institutions during seminars. I like to see them open up to another way of relating to themselves and to their colleagues. I like to see their eyes shine with the hope of experiencing quality relationships that allow them to breathe at work and to see in their colleagues people ready to collaborate and not enemies to be brought down. I also lead introductory seminars I and II in Geneva, as well as a seminar on self-esteem which, to my great satisfaction, has already enhanced, or even changed, the lives of many. In addition to this, I support people in individual sessions and during mediations. Great is my joy when they discover their own beauty which propels them into a contagious transformation – which is also mine.

Depuis l’enfance, je suis en quête d’un monde plus juste, où l’on vive plus d’équité et où chacun puisse être entendu. Ceci est lié à l’histoire de ma famille, mais aussi à l’intuition d’une vocation particulière à donner à ma vie. J’ai accompagné, en tant qu’éducatrice spécialisée, des personnes avec un handicap mental et psychique ainsi que des troubles physiques associés. Leur fragilité de base, jointe parfois à une incapacité à s’exprimer et à se faire comprendre, m’a tout naturellement conduite à explorer la communication, ses obstacles et les moyens de les traverser dès 1978, début d’un long chemin de développement personnel.

18 ans de vie communautaire m’ont sensibilisée au collectif au mépris de l’individuel. J’y ai cependant appris la joie et la richesse de la vie intérieure. J’ai aussi appris le poids et le prix du silence, les non-dits, la communication non verbale plus parlante que les mots, les discours volontaires, moralisateurs, séparant le monde en deux, sous couvert de spiritualité. Je sais que dans mon cœur se trouve la gamme des sentiments que l’humain porte en son sein et que je ne suis ni meilleure ni pire qu’un autre. C’est d’abord en moi que se trouvent les germes de la violence et c’est d’abord de moi qu’il faut les extirper et sur moi qu’il me faut œuvrer.

La CNV a été mise sur ma route alors que je cherchais un moyen de dire les choses autrement qu’en implosant dans la maladie, qu’en transgressant la loi ou qu’en explosant pour dire à l’autre ce qui ne tournait pas rond chez elle/lui. J’ai compris que j’avais trouvé dans la CNV un bateau pour me conduire sur l’autre rive et je l’ai emprunté. Ma formation en sociocratie (gouvernance de soi, des équipes et des institutions), dite encore « gouvernance par consentement », et mon expérience dans diverses institutions et réseaux m’ont permis d’explorer les rapports entre collègues et avec la hiérarchie, cherchant comment allier efficacité et respect des personnes ; comment favoriser les échanges, la clarté dans les informations et un pouvoir partagé qui permettent que les forces de chacun soient à la fois mises au service de l’entreprise ainsi qu’à celui de l’épanouissement personnel dans le travail.

C’est pour moi un plaisir particulier de rencontrer les personnes qui travaillent en institution lors de séminaires. J’aime les voir s’ouvrir à une autre manière de se relier à elles-mêmes et à leurs collègues. J’aime voir leurs yeux briller de l’espoir de vivre des relations de qualité qui leur permettent de respirer au travail et de voir dans leurs collègues des gens prêts à collaborer et non des ennemis à abattre. J’anime aussi des séminaires d’introduction I et II à Genève, ainsi qu’un séminaire sur l’estime de soi qui, à ma grande satisfaction, a déjà embelli, voire changé la vie de plusieurs. A côté de cela, j’accompagne les personnes en séances individuelles et lors de médiations. Grande est ma joie lorsqu’elles découvrent leur propre beauté qui les propulse dans une transformation contagieuse – qui est aussi la mienne.
