I am committed to living a conscious, loving, compassionate, and connected life. I believe that implementing the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) into my life is a way in which I can endeavor to reach that place every day. My greatest joy is connecting with others and hearing them breathe out as they know they have been heard. I believe the greatest gift I can give any human being is my presence.
I have had 16 years of experience in primary school teaching, further education, and family work both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. I love spending time with family, friends, and that groovy guy called Wayne. I love the bush, learning, and growth, travel, having fun, supporting families and teenagers and doing the things that juice and connect me.
We live on a 10 acre life style block in a place called Marotiri which is 25 minutes west of Taupō. We run an Airbnb (100 year old cottage) as well as looking after sheep, cows, chickens, goats and pigeons.
My Foundation Workshop was in London in 2006 with Darren DeWitt and Anna Finlayson followed by Foundation and Intermediate Trainings with Ron Ngata (NZ Certified Trainer). I have been fortunate to have attended other workshops with overseas trainers such as Ike Lassiter, John Cunningham, Robert Gonzales, Dorset Campbell Ross, and Milli O’Nair.
Since 2009, we (my partner Wayne and I) have been offering NVC in the form of public workshops, Enemy image work, Transformative Mediation, 1:1, Family and community work as well as a weekly practice group on zoom.
