When the Enneagram found me, I was
frustrated
running on empty
considering divorce
contemplating an affair
blaming everyone else
I took a weekend Enneagram course with Jenny Campbell and knew that something called to me. Before joining a 6 month course with her she asked me what I was “longing for”. I had no idea what that meant. It had never occurred to me to check in with my heart. “I can’t figure out why my family won’t listen to me when I know what they should all be doing,” I responded.
I will forever be grateful to Jenny for seeing my suffering when even I could not. I was so far from seeing that my suffering was about me but she accepted me into her program and things began to change.
Many years later I continue to use the Enneagram as a framework for my inner work. I continue to work with Jenny in addition to other teachers, mentors, peers, and modalities regularly.
I’ve learned to:
observe myself with honesty and humility
take compassionate action to change what isn’t working
ask for guidance, mentoring, and help when I need it
I was a good coach and therapist leading up to this time, but the quality of my work with clients has deepened as my capacity to experience wholeness has expanded. This is what I bring to others.
Those drawn to work with me tell me that they are drawn to the unconventional merging of my backgrounds including therapy, coaching, and spiritual mentoring. I am transparent about my own unfolding and self-discovery, always in service of the client.
Those drawn to my groups and courses tend to be women who describe themselves as “fine” but who are questioning whether or not “fine” is what they want as they shift into the second half of life. They are raising or have raised children and have faint memories of themselves as women who laughed more, felt more, and loved more. They are on a journey of remembering who they truly are. We use the Enneagram together to help them remember her.
My work is a blend of teaching, inquiry, and deep listening.
While I enjoy working with both individuals and couples, I find the most powerful way to learn the Enneagram is in small cohorts of Enneagram learners. When women experience the safety of a group, they also experience their own wholeness that they bring back to their families, neighborhoods, and communities. This, I believe, is what it looks like to support a global awakening and isn’t that what’s called for right now?
How I work
I work with both individuals and groups via Zoom and in-person. I offer single and multiple-day retreats and course-work, co-created and designed with you. If you have a cohort of learners, I’m happy to design something for you.
