About this Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Intermediate Retreat
Our home for these five days is Cal Viso, a historic 18th-century farmhouse, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Catalan countryside. Only an hour from Barcelona, it offers spaciousness and peace for our retreat. To ensure you can focus entirely on your own journey and connection, a dedicated chef will be providing all our catering.
This NVC intermediate retreat is for people you have done an NVC Level One (Foundation) course of at least two days with a CNVC-certified trainer. We are offering such a Level One (Foundation) course in February online.
You will leave the retreat with a clear understanding on how to apply NVC in your everyday life. You will deepen your awareness on how to nourish the relationships that are important to you. Going on a five-day retreat means:
- Meet like-minded people, get to know each other and experiencing NVC community.
- Create honest and authentic connection with yourself and others.
- Experience a space of personal growth and learning.
- Take the opportunity for stillness, reflection and spaciousness.
What you can expect on this retreat
- Practise your self-empathy skills to find your center even when triggered, so you can move from “reactivity” to “resourcefulness.”
- Learn how to break deadlocks and move through “empathy collisions” when emotional fuel is low.
- Develop confidence to set clear boundaries and hear “No” from others without losing connection.
- Learn how to express yourself with honesty and authenticity
- Explore gratitude as a practice: to celebrate contribution and nourish life through genuine appreciation.
Method and style of working
The sessions will be presented in English. We’ll be looking for a balance of structure and flexibility. Structured activities allow you to learn a process that you can take away with you and share with others. Flexibility means going with what’s alive in the room.
Organisers/hosts
Delia Aguila (certifcation candidate) and Joan Isaac are hosting this autumn retreat. They are excited to repeat this experience of connection, to bring people together once more and to live in the spirit of NVC.
