More than a language - a consciousness JEFF EDIT
“NVC is really a spiritual practice that I am trying to show as a way of life (…) So, our training is designed to help people make sure that the spirituality that’s guiding them is one of their own choosing and not one they’ve internalized by the culture”.
This extract from Marshall Rosenberg‘s book “Practical Spirituality’ conveys in the best possible way what we would like to create during this IIT – a space where we learn and explore Nonviolent Communication as a spiritual practice, a way of living and also sustained by an ongoing conscious and free choice.
We might learn NVC as a simple skill, a mechanical technique which can help to communicate with self and loved ones. Yet sooner or later we discover the depth of NVC, how it shifts our inner reality and opens us up to something bigger. Then our connection with others and the world at large becomes our core value, and we are ready and capable to forgive (or empathize with) our enemies, restore broken relationships and heal ourselves. This is the fuller potential that NVC opens up for us; and which we hope to seek together with you.
