A discussion of the book ‘The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible’ by Charles Eisenstein
We’ll meet starting at 6:30 PM and take some time to remember our dear friend Paul Pinegar. At 7:00 we’ll start the discussion of the book ‘The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible’.
The more I listen to and read Charles Eisenstein, the more inspired I am by him. This book brought tears to my eyes The book is an expansive treatise on how big changes can happen in the world, how interconnected we are and how we can change our stories. Eisenstein approaches the topic from multiple perspectives including his own naivety and cynicism.
I’ll be playing excerpts from the audio book and from the Beyond Awakening interview of Charles Eisenstein by Terry Patten. The audio book is narrated by someone else but I think Charles’ voice and enthusiasm are worth experiencing, so I will include parts of the interview.
For those who have time you can read from the book, I provided some links below. Please watch the 5 minute video if you can.
We will discuss some of the big ideas from the book.

From the book: Throughout the book, Eisenstein relates real-life stories showing how small, individual acts of courage, kindness, and self-trust can change our culture’s guiding narrative of separation, which, he shows, has generated the present planetary crisis. He brings to conscious awareness a deep wisdom we all innately know: until we get our selves in order, any action we take—no matter how good our intentions—will ultimately be wrongheaded and wronghearted. Above all, Eisenstein invites us to embrace a radically different understanding of cause and effect, sounding a clarion call to surrender our old worldview of separation, so that we can finally create the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible. With chapters covering separation, interbeing, despair, hope, pain, pleasure, consciousness, and many more, the book invites us to let the old Story of Separation fall away so that we can stand firmly in a Story of Interbeing. The print version is available on Amazon or from the publisher directly. Other on-line booksellers, such as Better World Books or IndieBound carry the book as well. Or better yet, ask for it at your local bookstore. There is an audiobook available, and you can find all of the places to purchase it here. You can find the e-book here.

DIRECTIONS: From Rancho Santa Fe Road, turn onto El Camino Del Norte. Go 6⁄10 of a mile, then turn Left onto Val Sereno. When Val Sereno dead ends at Via de Caballo, turn Right. At the dead end cul de sac, turn Right at a large wooden sign with house numbers and follow the narrow extension down the hill. At the bottom of the hill, turn Left. Our half of the townhouse is at the end, 3197, double green doors. Parking is limited. One car can park in front of our end of the duplex. One car can park to the right of my duplex neighbor. Three cars can park in the guest slots before the townhouse. The rest of you will have to park at the top of the hill before the wooden sign and then walk down the hill. I suggest that you bring a flash light to return up the hill to your car. Sorry for this inconvenience. If you get lost, call Anne’s home phone, 858-759-9215. See you soon. You can also call Eloy at 760 522-4679.
