Greetings San Diego Integral,
First off I would like to welcome some new members to the group.
Elisa Sabatini, Deborah Deeba S. Hargis, Jessica Evers Killebrew and JR have all joined the group in the last month. Welcome to you all and we are looking forward to meeting you.
Just a little context from my own partial perspective :) We started meeting again on June 29th after a 15 month hiatus. So many people showed up to that initial meeting with so much energy, talent and commitment that those who showed up later decided to create a kind of ‘workshop’ to present to the larger Meetup group, interested friends and the interested public. Since then we have been meeting pretty often, usually once a week, to take all of that energy and those many great ideas and come up with something we can actually do. Through some wonderful group exercises and group processing we have established a working we-space in which to co-create this workshop.
We’re thinking it might be best to keep the co-creating group limited to the people who have been involved so far unless you just have an overwhelming burning desire to jump into an on-going process. Believe me there will be plenty of opportunity to join us later when things gel and settle a bit more.
I would be more than happy to meet with any of you over coffee if you want to know more or just to interact, email me through the Meetup site. Also, we are thinking it would be fun to set up little mini-meetups outside the working ones where we can just hang-out, talk Integral and get to know one another. We had one just a couple weeks ago at a Wine Shop and Bistro in Encinitas and it was really wonderful.
Are any of our new Meetup members also a member of Integral Life ( http://integrallife.com/ ) or at least on the Integral Life mailing list? If not please check it out. This week on Integral Life is a talk entitled Waking Up is Not Enough where in the intro there is the following “ From an Integral point of view, simply “Waking Up” isn’t enough. We are also being called to “Grow Up” (mature emotionally), “Clean Up” (engage in shadow work), and “Show Up” (embody our insight in our daily lives). I just love that phrase Wake up, Grow up, Clean up and Show up, this applies double for me :)
…..So with all that said…. this week we’ll be continuing a great process led by Leslie where we will be exploring and creating a mission statement for our workshop project.
Remember to bring your booklets and your Unique Self…
